VSPOA Architectural Committee 2023
The Village Shores Architectural Committee was established under the VSPOA Bylaws to carry out the intent of the subdivision deed restrictions. The primary function of the committee is to review plans and specifications on any building project that requires approval according to the Architectural Committee Guidelines, which can be found here.
Sitting near the top of Triple Peak Drive, many home sites in Village Shores offer lovely views of Canyon Lake. Our architectural guidelines and oversight committee ensure those views are preserved. The architecture of existing homes in Village Shores is widely varied in design and construction, which lends character to the neighborhood. The architectural guidelines are reasonable and easily met, with a goal to maintain the variety of design while preserving the beautiful lake views.
Architectural Guidelines Highlights
- Minimum square footage of new homes is 1800 square feet
- Height restrictions are in place applicable to new structures and renovations
- The Architectural Committee will consider a building plan’s compatibility with existing homes when approving or disapproving a submission
- Homes need to have carport or garage that houses no fewer than two cars
- Prefabricated homes are not allowed
- Fences need to be approved by the Architectural Committee
- Remodeling that does not change the footprint, external features, or square footage of a house does not require Architectural Committee approval
